The copper grade Cu-DHP has excellent weldability. It is well suited for common welding processes such as TIG and MIG welding as well as other processes like gas welding.

Cu-DHP generally offers good corrosion resistance. In both natural and marine atmospheres the material can develop a protective surface layer ("patina"). However, it offers poor resistance to certain acids and chemicals such as ammonia.
